Play multiplayer Wordle with friends, in real time

WordsGuess Battle Mode puts up to six players on the same hidden five-letter word at the same moment. Everyone guesses at once, every board updates live, and the fastest solvers take the points.

Free, in your browser. Friends can join with just a name.

How a battle works

  1. Create a room

Choose the language, how many players (2 to 6), a time limit, the number of rounds and the scoring mode.

  2. Send the invite link

Share the room link in any chat. Friends open it, type a name and they're in. No email or password needed.

  3. Pick an item

Before each round you get nine seconds to play one battle item: help yourself, or slow a rival down.

  4. Race on the same word

After a short countdown, everyone guesses the same hidden word. The top three solvers score, and the highest total after the last round wins.

Two ways to score

Every round awards points to the first three players to solve the word. The room creator chooses how those points are counted.

Placement

Finishing order is all that matters: 100 points for 1st, 75 for 2nd and 50 for 3rd. Good for quick, chaotic games where speed beats precision.

Row multiplier

Placement points are multiplied by how few rows you needed, from ×1.0 on the sixth row up to ×1.5 on the first. Solving 1st on row 2 earns 140; 2nd on row 4 earns 90. Rewards careful play, not just fast typing.

Row multiplier mode: points by place and the row you solved on (rounded to whole points).

Row 2×1.414010570

Row 4×1.21209060
Row 5×1.11108355
Row 6×1.01007550

Battle items

Every player starts a battle with one of each item. Each can be used once, so choosing when to play them is part of the strategy.

🔍 Scout Boost

Reveals one correct letter of the answer, only on your board. A safe head start.

🗣️ Echo Boost

Marks green and yellow letters on your board that appear again elsewhere in the word, so repeated letters don't catch you out.

💣 Sabotage Attack

Takes a guess away from the rival you pick: they get one fewer row that round.

⏱️ Pressure Attack

Halves the clock of the rival you pick for that round, so they have to rush.

Why race instead of comparing scores?

The usual way to play Wordle with friends is to solve the daily puzzle on your own and paste your result into a group chat. It works, but the game is over before anyone else sees your board, and everyone has the same single word per day.

A battle turns it into a shared moment. You watch your friends' boards fill in as you play, a fast lucky guess can steal a round, and you can play as many rounds as you like. With items and the row multiplier, a careful solver can still beat a fast one.

Prefer to play alone? The daily puzzle is still there, with a new word every day, and you can brush up with our best starting words.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. Battle Mode, the daily puzzle and practice games are all free to play in your browser, with nothing to install.

Do my friends need an account?

No. Anyone with the invite link can join as a guest by typing a name. Guest accounts are temporary; create a full account if you want to keep your stats.

How many people can play?

Between 2 and 6 players per room. The creator sets the maximum when making the room.

Can we play in another language?

Yes. Rooms can use English, Russian or Armenian words, and the on-screen keyboard switches to match.

What happens if someone loses connection?

Each player's board shows whether they are still connected. A player who drops out of the game is resigned, so the round can finish for everyone else.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. The game is built for mobile browsers as well as desktop, so a group can play together from their phones.
